EAB Event 2012-08-13 to 17: Summer Festival 2012

EAB Esperanto Summer Festival 2012

There will be an EAB Esperanto Summer Festival in August 2012. We apologise for the late notice; we had to allow time for a decision to be made on the future of Wedgwood Memorial College.

The College closed on the 1st April this year and we've spent the interim time sourcing suitable venues. We're now confident that we've found a venue for our course that is very similar to the College. Shallowford House has a homely and friendly atmosphere with all the usual comforts that you've come to expect during our residential courses such as home-cooked food, (some) en-suite bedrooms and beautiful grounds to explore during free time – there is also a tasteful bar area where you'll be able to relax in the evenings.

The course will run at Shallowford House (http://www.shallowfordhouse.org/) from the 13th – 17th August 2012. Arrival time is from 11.30 am and the course will commence with a lunch on Monday the 13th. The cost of the course, which finishes on Friday 17th after lunch, is £264.00. This includes all tuition fees, a continental breakfast, morning coffee, two-course lunch, afternoon tea & cake, plus a three-course evening meal. Shallowford House is only a few miles away from Esperanto House and we're hoping to build a visit to the Library and Office into the programme.

[Ĉar la evento nun jam okazis, ne plu eblas mendi lokon.]

In the meantime, please don't hesitate to contact the EAB office if you would like any further information.

Travel: If you are arriving by train then Stafford is the nearest station. There is an infrequent local bus service (Stafford - Norton Bridge, Arriva service, bus nos 490/491, only one bus every approx 2 hours, from morning to mid-afternoon), or the EAB office can advise you of a recommended taxi firm with an agreed rate.
